Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, 54, was hospitalized after being stabbed multiple times during a burglary at his Mumbai residence early Thursday morning. The intruder entered Khan’s Bandra home around 2:30 a.m., leading to a confrontation during which Khan sustained six stab wounds, including two deep injuries—one near his spine.
Khan underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital, where a foreign object was identified near his spine. Hospital officials have stated that he is currently out of danger.
Khan’s wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their two children were present during the incident but were unharmed. A female employee at the residence was also injured and is receiving treatment. Kapoor Khan has requested that the media and fans refrain from speculation while police investigations are ongoing.
Authorities are actively investigating the attack and have launched a search for the perpetrator, who fled the scene after the stabbing. The incident has raised concerns about security in Mumbai, particularly in celebrity-populated suburbs.
