Members of terror group, Boko Haram, Thursday evening slaughter 11 passengers who were travelling in a bus.
Witnesses say the passengers were leaving Mora to attend the celebrations of Eid el Maulud (Birth of Prophet Muhammed).
The attack occurred some 40km from Mora, which is a border town between Nigeria and Cameroon.
One of the victims reportedly managed to alert the police using his mobile telephone.
MAny believe that the attack was a reprisal of the killings of some members of the group by the Cameroonian military in recent weeks.
A Cameroonian investigative journalist, Bisong Etahoben, who confirmed the attack, wrote on Twitter that some passengers were still missing.
“At the final casualty count of attack, 11 (persons) were killed, with their throats slashed while six were hospitalized in Mora with serious injuries.”
