Borno State Elders Forum (BEF) says insurgence group Boko Haram has completely sorrounded Maiduguri the capital city of Borno.
The BEF which consists of traditional leaders and political figures ‘former governors,ministers and civil service heads expressed their anguish at the conservative approach of the GEJ regime to fight of terrorist group Boko Haram in a statement released to the press the BEF said they “are convinced that Federal Government of Nigeria has not shown sufficient political will to fight Boko Haram insurgence which may ultimately lead to the annihilation of the inhabitants of Borno.
The city which is a safe haven for over 2million people who fled other neighboring parts of the state since the recent annexation and declaration of an Islamic State is believed to be long term target of Boko Haram.
