The controversy began when a fan praised Bloody Civilian’s music but lamented that her tracks were too short, saying, “Bloody Civilian would sing the best verse you’ve ever heard but it’s only 2 seconds long.”
In reply, Bloody Civilian shared a promotional flyer for a brand that had Wizkid as its ambassador. The ‘Long Throat Bottle’ flyer featured Wizkid with an elongated neck to highlight the extra 20% content in the product.
Fans of Wizkid took offense to the reference, interpreting it as a subtle dig at the singer, and criticized Bloody Civilian for the perceived shade.
