Blessing CEO, whose real name is Blessing Okoro, has reportedly deactivated her Instagram account following intense scrutiny over her cancer claims.
The controversy escalated after she appeared on Arise TV on April 4, where she was questioned about her health situation. During the interview, medical doctor Adefunke Arowolo challenged several of her statements, describing them as medically inaccurate.
Dr. Arowolo also disclosed that she contacted the pathologist whose name appeared on the medical report presented by Blessing. According to her, the doctor is based in Asaba—not Enugu as previously claimed—and denied any knowledge of the report.
“I know that for an absolute fact,” Dr Arowolo said on TV.
Following this revelation, Blessing appeared visibly unsettled during the interview. It was further alleged that the document she presented was identical to one already circulating online—one she had previously denied sharing after claims surfaced that it belonged to another individual whose details were allegedly altered.
In the aftermath of the interview, Nigerians took to social media demanding accountability, with some calling for legal action over alleged deception linked to fundraising efforts.
Shortly after the backlash intensified, Blessing CEO’s Instagram account, which had about 1.4 million followers, became inaccessible, displaying a “no user found” message.
