Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has shared his thoughts on the demands of a long career in the music industry, suggesting he doesn’t see himself doing it for as long as some of his peers.
The “Like Ice Spice” hitmaker made the remark while commending veteran rapper and YBNL boss, Olamide, for his remarkable run in the game spanning over 15 years.
Taking to his X handle, Blaqbonez wrote:
“Respect to @Olamide for this album, to be able to do this like 15 years in is crazy, it’s the type of longevity everyone prays for. real Everlasting Taker.”
In a follow-up post, he made it clear he doesn’t aspire to such a lengthy stint:
“Me I no fit do 15 years o, the one wey una see, u go take.”
The posts have since stirred conversations among fans, with many reacting to Blaqbonez’s blunt honesty and admiration for Olamide’s staying power.
