An upcoming Bollywood actress has been murdered by two fellow actors she met on the set of Madhur Bhandarkar’s yet-to-be-released film Heroine, where she had a bit-part role.
Meenakshi Thapa, 26, was kidnapped and beheaded by Amit Jaiswal and his lover Preeti Surin.
The duo, Amit Jaiswal and Priti Surin, from UP, killed her in a bid to extort money from her family, as Thapa had told them that she belongs to a rich Nepalese family and acting was a hobby for her.
Thapa’s mother is believed to have paid 60,000 (£730) Rupees for her release
.
The actors threw her body off her moving bus, Jaiswal and Surin have seen confessed the crime to the Mumbai Police.
Thapa in reality was a struggling actress who earlier played a minor role in last year’s horror film 404 and she appeared in some TV commercials.
The beheaded body of the small-time model and Bollywood starlet was recovered from a sewage tank of a house where the father of a woman, arrested along with her paramour for the murder by the Mumbai Police, lives as a tenant, a day after recovering her torso from a sewage tank in the house of Prveti Sunmi.
