Big Brother Naija winner and media personality, Phyna, has called out a Lagos restaurant for refusing her entry due to what they deemed “indecent dressing.”
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Phyna expressed her frustration in a post accompanied by a video of her outfit. She was dressed in a black, backless gown that revealed parts of her chest and cleavage.
“So I went to have dinner at one CALI RESTAURANT or whatever they call it 😂😂😂. They said my outfit is indecent, and I can’t enter. WTF!!!!!” she wrote.
The incident has ignited discussions online, with fans and critics debating the restaurant’s dress code policy and Phyna’s response.
While some supporters argued for her right to dress as she pleases, others emphasized the importance of respecting dress codes in certain establishments.
A fan, @iknownimos, commented, “What’s wrong with the dressing? Some people are stuck in that African mentality. Anyway, it’s the restaurant’s loss. I hope they were polite about it, or else, sue them.”
On the other hand, @viktorbensonyt stated, “At the height of success, decency becomes essential. No one wants to see bare breasts and buttocks in a professional or business environment.”
