Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Ifeyinwa Okafor, popularly known as Ivatar, has opened up about her time on the reality show, addressing public misconceptions and setting the record straight on her relationships in the house.
Misunderstood because of her looks
In a chat with Sunday Scoop, Ivatar revealed that her appearance especially her tattoos made many viewers assume she would be controversial.
“People have said that they expected more drama from me because of how I look, but I am naturally a very calm person. From the start, I made it clear that the stereotype people have about tattooed individuals doesn’t define me,” she said.
Describing herself as “classy and intentional,” she added that while she can be playful, only her close friends get to see that side of her. She emphasized that being the mother of an 18-year-old greatly influences her decisions, making her unwilling to behave recklessly for TV drama.
Clears the air on Kaybobo
Addressing rumors of a romantic link with fellow housemate Kaybobo, Ivatar denied the claims, saying a viral photo that appeared to show them kissing was digitally manipulated.
“I was shocked when I saw that picture. It never happened. Kaybobo and I are just friends. We connect because we share similar interests, but there is nothing romantic between us,” she clarified.
Rift with Mensan
Speaking about her fallout with former ally Mensan, Ivatar admitted she may have mishandled their friendship.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have pulled him into my corner because I felt he was lonely, like I was. We shared some fun moments, but I believe in setting boundaries, and I’ll always stick to that,” she explained.
Life after BBNaija
Since her eviction, Ivatar reflected on her experience in the house, noting that it taught her valuable lessons about self-awareness, setting boundaries, and how quickly public perception can shape narratives.
