Erica Nlewedim, a former contestant on the reality show Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’ edition, recently opened up about her journey and experiences since leaving the show. In an interview with Punch, the reality TV star discussed the dedication she has shown towards advancing her career.
According to Erica, she has been wholeheartedly committed to her professional endeavors, which has necessitated making certain sacrifices in other areas of her life. She revealed that she has had to prioritize her career over other aspects, including relationships and friendships, requiring her to devote less time and focus to those areas.
Erica acknowledged that this level of sacrifice has been crucial for her career growth and advancement in the period following her appearance on the popular reality show. She expressed her willingness to make such trade-offs, underlining her determination to succeed in her chosen field.
Erica said: “For the past three years, I sacrificed my personal and social life. Even some friends were upset with me that I was not hanging out with them, because I am always busy. I have had to sacrifice relationships as well.”
On how she handles negative social media comments, Erica said: “As a human being, I have my good and bad moments. Sometimes, I could be in such a good mood that even if someone insults me, I would let it slide. In the past, I used to single out scapegoats. But, I am tired of doing that, so I just ignore them now.”
In view of what her fans should expect, she said: “I have some businesses, including real estate. I have some short let apartments, as well as a skincare business, which I will expand into a spa. I also have some movies coming out; and one of them is titled, ‘The Devil is a Liar’.”
