Reality TV star Phyna has publicly accused an Abuja-based hotel of putting her life at risk and unlawfully detaining her over alleged property damages worth ₦3.5 million.
The controversy comes shortly after a video surfaced online showing the former Big Brother Naija winner involved in a heated altercation at the hotel.
In a series of Instagram posts, Phyna revealed that the hotel located in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja allegedly allowed a group of touts to gain access to her room through the main gate and reception. According to her, the men broke into her room on the second floor and tried to assault her. She further claimed that hotel staff disclosed her room number to the attackers.
Expressing her distress, the reality star lamented the unfortunate experiences she’s endured in 2025, stating that the year has been particularly tough on her.

An hotel that allowed touts through their main gate, through reception up till 2nd floor to bang break down the door, same hotel that told the touts my room number, I’ve never seen that type of thing,
Omo this 2025 for just take me leave my sister
Dalchifit hotel in swarinpa allowed touts to come in the hotel to fight me and now they are about to lock me up till Monday cuz I refused to pay a damage of 3.5m, please I’m in prison rn

Her posts have since sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and fellow celebrities demanding an investigation into the incident.
