Former Big Brother Naija star Francisca Owumi has sadly passed away after a brief illness, her family has confirmed.
Francisca, who was the runner-up of the first-ever Big Brother Nigeria reality show in 2006, died on August 29, 2024.
Her family announced the tragic news on social media with the message: “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
Francisca, known for her energetic dance moves, appeared on the show alongside winner Katung Aduwak, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, Maureen Osuji, and others. After the show, she briefly ventured into the Nigerian music scene, releasing singles such as “Diva” and “Gbadun You.”
