Gunmen who attacked Shegyam and Dogon Ruwa villages in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, reportedly killed at least five people and also rustled hundreds of cattle.
A resident of Wase town, Abdullahi Usman told Daily Trust that gunmen invaded the villages in the early hours of Wednesday June 15.
He said the gunmen first attacked Shegyam where they killed two persons and later proceeded to Dogon Ruwa where they killed three other persons and rustled hundreds of cattle.
Police spokesman in the state, DSP Alabo Alfred confirmed the incident but couldn’t ascertain the casualty figure.
It was also learnt that gunmen had on Tuesday June 14, invaded Sapio village and abducted two women.
