Skit maker and content creator Bae U Barbie recently took a jab at comedian and actor Ayo Makun, widely known as AY, during the latest episode of his show, Curiosity Made Me Ask.
In a teaser clip for the upcoming episode, Bae U subtly suggested that AY’s career demonstrates that success as a comedian in Nigeria doesn’t necessarily require being funny.
“Our guest today is proof that you don’t have to be funny to be a successful comedian in Nigeria,” Bae U remarked while introducing AY.
The snippet has since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions online.
Interestingly, AY has previously acknowledged in an interview that he doesn’t consider himself one of Nigeria’s funniest comedians.
