Five years ago, popular comic actor Babatunde ‘Baba Suwe’ Omidina lost his wife ‘Omoladun Omidina’ to the cold hands of death.
She died mysteriously at their Ikorodu home in Lagos. Not long after, Baba Suwe had a fall-out with the law when he was arrested and detained by the NDLEA for alleged drug trafficking. With all his issues resolved, the actor is gradually picking up his life – with a couple of new movies and cameo appearances in music videos.
He’s now ready, it seems, to take another wife. He said as much in a recent interview with Vanguard newspapers. ‘It has not been easy but life must go on. I believe whatever happens has been pre-ordained‘, he told an interviewer.
‘The death of Omoladun was a great loss I cannot get over in this lifetime’. On his plans of remarrying, he said, ‘Yes, in fact pretty soon’.
He would rather not divulge her identity for now but says, ‘she is not an actress because I can’t marry an actress again’.
