Baba Ijesha has granted another interview, this time with musician and media personality Yinka Ayefele, amid ongoing public reactions.
During the on-air conversation, the actor, whose real name is Olanrewaju Omiyinka, again denied the allegations against him and shared his version of events.
He claimed that before the incident that led to his imprisonment, he was allegedly lured with food and money. Addressing reports that he admitted to the offence in a viral video, Baba Ijesha dismissed the claim and said, “They said I used car key to disflower the minor.”
When asked to elaborate further, he declined to provide full details, noting that his complete account would be revealed in an upcoming movie.
During the discussion, Ayefele also questioned his earlier statement about being lured with food, asking if it pointed to gluttony. Responding in Yoruba, the actor said, “Gluttony is also part of it and the proposed money as well. I do not like to disrespect ladies, which is why I agreed to the role. That was how it happened, and God is my witness.”
He maintained that he did not commit the offence for which he was jailed.
The interview comes shortly after his controversial appearance on a podcast hosted by Biola Adebayo, which had already sparked widespread reactions online.
