Singer Ayra Starr has voiced concern that her latest social media trend for her new single Hot Body might trigger conspiracy theories about her.
The “Hot Body” crooner admitted she fears being accused of demonic associations because of the unusual nature of the trend.
“I better not get any mami water allegation because of this hot body video,” she wrote on her X handle.
The single marks Ayra Starr’s first release since signing with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. To promote it, she and her team created a trend where young women dance and showcase their “hot bodies” while the track plays in the background.
However, the movement has drawn criticism, with some accusing her of promoting nudity. Singer Jaywon even questioned her fashion choices, asking if she doesn’t have parents to guide her.
This isn’t the first time conspiracy theories have swirled around artists from her label. In 2023, Rema faced similar allegations after being accused of using “satanic/Illuminati” symbols during his headline show at London’s 02 Arena.
Rema later clarified via X that the horse he rode was modeled after a Benin artifact, and the mask he wore was a replica of the famous Queen Idia mask. In a March 2025 interview with Rolling Stone, he again debunked claims of being part of the Illuminati or engaging in devil worship.
