Rising star Ayra Starr reflects on her journey to fame, sharing how she began her music career at 18 right after graduating from university.
In an interview with Spotify, Ayra Starr revealed that she always knew she would become famous. Her mother delayed her music career until she graduated, allowing her to enter a studio for the first time at 18.
The Grammy nominee discussed the stages of her life after her debut album brought her fame. “At 10, I knew I was going to be a superstar. At 16, I just wanted to sing in my room. At 18, I entered the studio for the first time, having just graduated from university,” she shared.
She continued, “I released my first album at 19, ’19 and Dangerous,’ which took the world by storm. At 20, I released ‘Rush,’ my biggest song. At 21, I was nominated for a Grammy, marking the start of my life as a global African superstar.”
