Mohammed Abubakar Atiku, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who tested positive for coronavirus few days ago, has denied shaking Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State (who is also positive to the virus).
Recall that it was reported that the governor came accross Atiku’s son at the airport and they shook hands and exchanged pleasantries
Atiku’s son has however denied meeting Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.
After testing positive for the virus, Bala’s spokesperson Mukhtar Gidado announced the governor was self-isolating, citing his meeting with the son of the former Vice President.
However in a WhatsApp conversation made available to LIB, Atiku’s family, have dismissed the claims that he contracted the virus from Mohammed Abubakar Atiku after a handshake when they met on board an Aero Contractors aircraft.
The short statement reads;
“Mohammed did not shake hands with Governor Bala Mohammed. He sat on a seat across the aisle on the Aero Contractors flight from Lagos to Abuja. Governor Bala was in Germany until the 15th of March 2020 and did not go into self isolation.”
