Nollywood actress Ashabi Simple, who shares a child with controversial singer Portable, recently took to social media with an emotional plea to God, expressing her deep exhaustion and longing for genuine support in her personal and professional life.
In a heartfelt post, Ashabi revealed she’s been feeling overwhelmed and called on God for guidance and connection with people who could positively influence her journey.
“God, please connect me with people who matter to my growth. I’m tired of always being strong. God, I need you in all ramifications. Crown my efforts, don’t let me be a failure,” she wrote.
Her vulnerability resonated with many, attracting a wave of support from fans—and from Portable himself, who responded:
“Grace go follow you forever 🙏.”
He later added:
“Make una dey drop better co.”
However, some fans were unimpressed with Portable’s remarks. One supporter urged him to take more meaningful action, suggesting he promote her work instead of offering surface-level encouragement:
“Eze ure!! Help do content or advertise her movies on your platforms’ reels instead of disgracing her upfront, right and left… Do better by posting her movies.”
