Grammy-nominated sensation Asake has been recognized as Nigeria’s best-selling artist for 2024, surpassing the country’s music giants.
According to the annual end-of-year report by Nigeria’s premier music chart platform, TurnTable, Asake claimed the top spot as the No. 1 artist for the third consecutive year—a feat never achieved before in Nigeria’s music history.
Asake’s Accomplishments in 2024
Asake’s musical projects, including Mr. Money With The Vibe (MMWTV) and Work of Art, continued to thrive throughout the year, securing extended stays in the top ten of the Official Top 100 Albums chart.
His third album, Lungu Boy, released in August, emerged as 2024’s standout project. It dominated the charts, holding the No. 1 position for 15 weeks and ending the year as the highest-selling album.
Dominance in Radio and Charts
For the second year in a row, Asake was named the No. 1 radio artist, amassing the most chart points on the Official Nigeria Top 100 chart. His hit track MMS featuring Wizkid led the Year-End Afro-R&B chart and spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Official Nigeria Top 100 chart.
Streaming Success
Asake’s influence extended to streaming platforms, where he ranked as the No. 1 artist on Apple Music in Nigeria. His album Lungu Boy was the most streamed, and he topped the charts on Audiomack and YouTube, solidifying his dominance in Nigeria’s music scene for 2024.
