The winner of Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up,’ Phyna, continues to maintain her belief that virtually every woman worldwide has, at some point, undergone an abortion, even if it’s as simple as taking a ‘morning-after pill.’ She expressed this stance in response to the criticism she received after confidently stating in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo that every woman has experienced one or two abortions, based on her own personal experience of having an abortion at a young age.
In a recent interaction on her social media page, a fan questioned the broadness of her statement regarding abortion, asking if she had considered the implications of claiming that no woman had avoided having an abortion. Phyna, however, firmly defended her position by stating that, with the exception of virgins, most women have encountered abortion, including situations where they use morning-after pills after sexual intercourse, which she considers a form of abortion. She concluded by referring to her critics as hypocrites and encouraged them to continue expressing their objections.
Her response essentially maintains that, in her view, except for virgins, women who engage in sexual activity have likely experienced abortion, whether through the use of post-coital contraception or other means.
