Armed robbers on Sunday attacked different locations in Lagos, killing three policemen and seven others.
The robbers began their raid on the city at about 10.35a.m from Ifako-Gbagada and drove through Oshodi to Mile 2 and Agege.
They attacked currency changers on Diya Street in Ifako-Gbagada and snatched an undisclosed amount of money from them.
The robbers, said to be six men and two women, got to the area in a Toyota Prado jeep and an Armada jeep, and also shot a man inside his car.
They also snatched recharge cards from some retailers before heading to Anthony, where they shot an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency in the legs.
They also shot more people as they headed to Oshodi and Mile Two.
The gang then drove to Agege, where they attacked currency changers and snatched two bags of money from them.
They also killed four persons and shot two currency changers who tried to resist them.
As they moved towards Ikeja, a polcie patrol pursued and caught up with them near Guinness brewery.
The police patrol opened fire on the robbers, who replied and killed three policemen inside their patrol vehicle.
A stray bullet shot by the robbers also hit a six-year old girl in the eye and her grandmother on the forehead while they were watching TV in their home at 15, Alfa-Nla, Agege.
A stray bullet also hit a parked Volvo ambulance with registratyion number HL 355 AAA belonging to Motolani Medical Centre, and shattered the rear windscreen.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Umar Manko, confirmed the incident, saying three policemen were killed by the hoodlums.
