ARMED GROUP ATTACKS NIGERIAN EMBASSY, GUINEA BISSAU

Armed groups attacked the Nigerian embassy in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau, a country of about 1.7 million people, Tuesday.

The whereabouts of the Ambassador and other embassy staff  is unknown, although they are believed to have sought refuge  inside a police station in the capital.

The event is happening just as the country is preparing for its general elections slated for next month, however this attack is being linked to series of kidnap cases across the country.
