The Arik-air hostess Chinwendu Uwakaonyenma Ogbonnaya who was caught with cocaine in her pack few months back has been jailed for five and a half years in the United Kingdom.
According to a press statement from the UK Embassy, “Ms Ogbonnaya claimed that she had been given the bag by a friend and that she was unaware it contained drugs.”
However, Ms Ogbonnaya later pleaded guilty to importing a class A drug into the United Kingdom during her trial at Isleworth Crown Court in West London. She was sentenced to five and a half years in prison and also face deportation at the end of her sentence.
