APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has called on singer Davido to retract his recent comments about Nigeria’s economy, which he described as being in shambles.
Davido, in a podcast, had advised Africans, particularly Nigerians, in the U.S. to reconsider returning home, citing the poor state of the country’s economy as a major concern.
In response, Joe Igbokwe criticized Davido for his remarks, emphasizing that Nigeria played a significant role in the singer’s success. He urged Davido to withdraw his statement, expressing disappointment over his public criticism of the country.
Joe Igbokwe wrote …
“My in law Davido has made me sad by telling the world in America that Nigeria’s economy is in shambles. This is very sad. I will advise him to retract the statement asap. Nigeria made Davido. QED.”
