Renowned Nigerian comedian, Mr Jollof, has come forward to express his disappointment with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), revealing that he feels like he was ‘used and dumped’ by the party. Known for his previous support of President Bola Tinubu and the APC, Mr Jollof recently made a revelation in an Instagram video.
In the video, the comedian disclosed that he had a change of heart and decided to align himself with the former Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, who served as the Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2023 elections. This decision came about after he encountered a Bible passage that highlighted the significance of acknowledging one’s mistakes and making amends.
In a sarcastic manner, Mr Jollof addressed the prevailing issue of the fuel price hike and the overall economic challenges faced by Nigerians. He claimed to have forewarned citizens about the consequences of supporting the APC after his defection to the PDP. However, regrettably, his advice did not receive the attention it deserved from the public.
In his own words, Mr Jollof said, “I initially supported Tinubu, but upon witnessing the company he keeps and how they utilize people, I felt exploited. Yes, the APC used me.”
Nevertheless, the comedian found solace in the biblical parable of the lost son from Luke 15:1-32, which conveys the message that when one strays from their path, they should seek redemption and return to their roots. Mr Jollof shared that he found a welcoming embrace from Ifeanyi Okowa, symbolizing his return to the PDP.
He further expressed his discontent with the current fuel price, which has reached an alarming N617, impacting everyone across the country.
