A video circulating online shows Anthony Joshua spending time with the mothers of his late friends, Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami.
The two friends reportedly lost their lives in a tragic accident last year while visiting Nigeria during the festive season. Joshua’s kind gesture toward their mothers has sparked reactions online, with many fans sharing their opinions.
The Nigerian-British boxer touched many hearts after celebrating Mother’s Day with the two women, months after the passing of their sons. Latif and Sina had travelled to Nigeria with Joshua in late December before the unfortunate incident occurred during the Yuletide period.
The tragedy had earlier drawn attention from celebrities who were present during the festive season.
In the now-viral clip, Joshua was seen hosting and celebrating the mothers, warmly wishing them a happy Mother’s Day while they smiled.
During the gathering, Joshua appeared cheerful and relaxed, at one point placing his hand on one of the women’s shoulders while dancing. A performer at the event also joined in, dancing with one of the mothers and praising her.
At a moment in the video, Joshua playfully tapped the performer’s hand and gently removed it from the elderly woman’s shoulder, laughing as he did so.
It was also recalled that Joshua had relocated to Dubai following the accident, where he reportedly spent several days receiving medical care.
