Two-time heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua recently paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu at his residence in Lagos State.
During the meeting, Joshua presented the President with a signed boxing glove inscribed with the message, “To the Great Asiwaju Jagaban Borgu of Africa, Bola A Tinubu.”
The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Presidency shared photos from the visit alongside a caption that read, “President Bola Tinubu receiving an autographed glove from former World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua, during his visit to the President at his Lagos residence on January 1, 2025.”
This visit comes as part of Joshua’s time in Nigeria for the festive season. Just days earlier, the Nigerian-born British boxer had also met with Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, who appointed him as Ogun State’s Sports Ambassador.
