Coming on the heels of the Nyanya bomb blast, another pandemonium occurred yesterday at the National Assembly as staff abandoned their duty-posts at about 1.30pm to avoid being killed by a bomb allegedly planted in the complex.
Some workers under anonymity claimed that there was a directive that they should vacate the complex for security reasons.
Meanwhile, commercial banks operating within the complex closed at about 1p.m., claiming that there was an order that they should vacate the complex.
The bomb scare story started at about 11a.m. when it was rumoured that there was a bomb planted in the complex and that an order from an unidentified source said that all commercial food vendors should vacate the complex immediately.
