Two locally-made high calibre time bombs were on Tuesday(today) discovered and defused at the Faculty of Science, Sports Complex and in front of the Sub-Dean’s office, Faculty of Law of the school.
An anonymous eyewitness said that a strange object was found in the area and the police were alerted.
Following the alert, the police immediately deployed officers from its anti-bomb unit to the scene.
“There is a total confusion as students and lecturers and non-academic staff could be seen running out of the campus”, an eyewitness said.
