Angry youths in Warri, Delta state, set fire to one of Access Bank’s branches on Wednesday, protesting the continued scarcity of Naira notes, which has forced many businesses across the country to close.
This was captured in viral videos showing enraged youths disrupting vehicle movements and destroying valuable properties in the area around the Udu road axis.
A witness, @sabiboiharry, said on Twitter while sharing the video,
“Breaking! Massive protests are taking place in Warri, particularly around the Udu road axis, in response to the CBN’s decision to discontinue the use of the old Naira as legal tender. The Access Bank is on fire.”
