Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has opened up about lingering health challenges resulting from a 2019 assassination attempt, revealing that bullet fragments remain embedded in her head.
In a video shared online, the actress disclosed that she has spent the last two weeks in and out of hospitals due to health complications. After several tests and medical scans, her doctors recommended bed rest following the discovery of additional bullet fragments in her head—leading to persistent headaches and blurry vision.
She captioned the post:
“Last two weeks have been so hectic lovers. It has been from visiting one hospital to another, running a series of tests after tests on my head and body and I have not been feeling too well either, so my doctor advised that I should be placed on bed rest. Seriously, good health is underestimated.
I went for my checkups, and found out that there were still fragments of bullet in my head. As years go by, even more bullets still come out. But at the end of the day, God showeth mercy. God is with me no doubt and may his name be praised. Amen. #legitqueen.”
Angela was attacked in December 2019 by unidentified gunmen, suffering severe injuries to her head. She has consistently alleged that the attack was planned by people within the Nollywood industry, and remains unforgiving toward those she holds responsible.
