Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly turned down a chance to reunite with his football idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, at Saudi club Al-Nassr.
According to The Telegraph, the 21-year-old Argentine rejected the move despite the club’s attractive offer and ambitious project, preferring to continue his career in Europe. Garnacho was among five players excluded from United’s pre-season tour of the U.S., with the club permitting him to explore transfer options.
New manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly open to letting Garnacho go, and several clubs are monitoring the situation closely. Chelsea remain interested, with talks of a possible swap involving Christopher Nkunku. Italian giants Napoli are also eyeing the winger, with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis openly questioning why Garnacho hasn’t been given more opportunities at United.
Garnacho is said to be keen on continuing his development in a highly competitive European league rather than making an early move to the Middle East.
