Aisha Yesufu, a political activist, responded to a video that went viral showing Yobe state children fighting over a dish of leftover food.
According to Naija News, Mallam Jabir, a Twitter user, posted a video showing young children fighting over leftover food in the state.
“Things like this made me hate Nigerian politicians more especially the northern politicians,” he wrote in the caption of the video when he posted it.Look at the predicament we are in right now in this nation.Children at Guru Market, Yobe State, are fighting over a plate of food that someone has left there.
“Things like this motivate me to enter politics because we cannot keep allowing greedy and careless people to mislead us.
Act now, please.
Yesufu was incensed by the footage and scolded Arewa for allowing the state’s status to deteriorate to that extent.
She argued that Arewa’s Muslims were an embarrassment to Islam.
She stated that Arewa as a whole “should be ashamed of itself. The Muslims in Arewa as a whole are an embarrassment to Islam. The population that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) ordered us to give is not this one.
“We have all betrayed Islam!”Regarding the Mallams, Sheikhs, and others. Shame on you all.
