Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa, appears to have lost his first-team spot at Leicester City, after an indifferent start to the 2017/2018 Premier League campaign.
On Friday, Musa started for Leicester’s B team against the U-23s of Chelsea.
The 24-year-old played a crucial role, as they ran out 2-0 winners in the Premier League 2 fixture, played at the King Power Stadium.
He set up George Thomas to score both goals and came close to scoring himself late in the match.
Musa has failed to break into manager Craig Shakespeare’s squad since the start of the season and was left on the bench in the Carabao Cup clash against Liverpool on Tuesday.
Shakespeare watched the entire game, where Musa will be hoping he has done enough to force his way back into the first-team picture.
