Islamic cleric Ahmad Gumi has reacted to reports surrounding the death of Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, describing him as fortunate and portraying his death as one that occurred in the course of jihad.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page on Sunday, Gumi said Khamenei died while confronting individuals he accused of killing innocent women and children in Gaza and other regions. He suggested that the late leader’s passing would spark transformation within the Muslim community, emphasizing that Khamenei remained resolute and did not withdraw from confrontation.
His post:
“Ayatollah Ali Khamenei: A lucky soul, he died in Jihad against killers of innocent children and women in Gaza and elsewhere.
His blood will fuel the change in the ummah. He stood firmly for Justice and didn’t hide in bunkers. For those who killed him or assisted in killing him, let us see what they will live to do in this world.”
Khamenei, who led Iran for decades and played a pivotal role in the nation’s political and religious affairs, was reported to have died following an Israeli airstrike in Tehran on Saturday.
