Veteran Nollywood actress Ronke Ojo shared a touching talk on the show “Talk To B” about the psychological toll her failed marriage had on her.
The mental turmoil, according to her, was so severe that she almost lost her mind.
Ronke described a harrowing episode in which she considered running naked from her ex-husband’s residence in a last-ditch effort to get assistance.
She was on the verge of a collapse due to the stress of her shattered marriage, which had driven her to the limit.
She said; “At a point, I almost lost my sanity, like mo fe ya were. I got out of my ex-husband’s room naked, I was going to walk outside naked. It was Bunmi, may her soul rest in perfect peace who drew me back. I was about to walk out butt naked.”
The beloved actress Orisabunmi, Ronke Ojo’s late companion, was instrumental in averting a possibly fatal circumstance during her darkest hour. The since-deceased Orisabunmi intervened to prevent Ronke from leaving her ex’s house in such a precarious position.
Ronke expressed her appreciation for her friend’s intervention and acknowledged that it was Orisabunmi’s help that had prevented her from making a regrettable choice.
In this dire situation, the two actresses’ friendship was obvious.
Ronke Ojo urged women to distinguish between a man who lacks money and a man who doesn’t care for his relationship after reflecting on her traumatic experience.
She highlighted that no one should ever experience the mental suffering she did.
She added; “That mental torture is not good for anyone. Another thing is, there is a difference between a man who doesn’t have any money and a man who doesn’t care, if a man doesn’t care it’s bad.”
