Renowned Nollywood actress, Chisom Steve, has opened up about her painful experience with miscarriage after a woman questioned her about not being pregnant.
In a post shared on social media, Chisom posted a screenshot of a direct message she received, where a woman bluntly asked,
“Why are you not yet pregnant? Abi are you barren?”
Responding, Chisom clarified that she is not barren, revealing she recently went through the emotional trauma of a miscarriage.
“I’m not barren. I actually had a miscarriage and I’ve been battling with the pain of losing a child,” she wrote.
Deeply hurt by the insensitive message, the actress didn’t hold back, cursing the sender and saying:
“In your lifetime, you shall be called barren, and even the strongest man of God you think you know won’t be able to lift that curse.”
Following the backlash, the woman attempted to apologize, claiming she meant no harm and was simply curious.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t know it would offend you. I just asked a question. I’m not mocking you,” she responded.
The exchange has since stirred emotional reactions online, with many showing support for the actress and condemning the insensitive comment.
