Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has sparked new controversy online after alleging that he has a video recording that reveals how the late singer Mohbad was killed.
In a statement posted on his Instagram page, Yomi claimed that the disturbing footage was sent to him by Mohbad’s younger brother, who allegedly intended to use it to extort money from him.
According to Yomi, the clip contains shocking details that the public must not ignore.
He stated:
“I am putting my life on the line to make sure justice is done, this video proves what really happened, and it cannot be ignored, I will not stay silent while the truth is hidden and that responsible go unpunished”
The actor further alleged that the video includes what he describes as “murder evidence and confession,” prompting him to call on President Bola Tinubu to intervene urgently.
He added:
“They want to silence me and use the video against you in the next election, your excellency, look into this matter. I don’t know why it is suddenly wrong to be loyal to your government. They want to use it against you in the next election, your excellency, please look into this matter.”
Yomi also stressed the need for accountability, mentioning Wunmi Cynthia and others as individuals who must be investigated. He insisted that justice must be swift, no one should be above the law, and Nigerians deserve transparency in the pursuit of truth.
His explosive claims have reignited national conversations surrounding Mohbad’s controversial passing, leaving many wondering whether this supposed new evidence will move the case forward or simply create more uncertainty.
