Actor Yemi Solade has accused event organizers of requesting payment for an award they planned to give him.
He shared a screenshot of a conversation with a representative of the organizers, in which they emphasized the need for sponsorship to cover the award. The representative also stated that a plaque would not be provided unless payment was made, as producing the plaque incurs costs.
In response, Solade posted the exchange on his social media, accompanied by the caption:
“I Refused to Pay for the Award Plaque… This Is the Outcome.”
