Nollywood actor and comedian, Abimbola Kazeem, better known as Jigan BabaOja has taken to social media to reveal how area boys almost lynched him due to a comedy skit that was misinterpreted.
In the skit, he was acting as a thief in the market and was being beaten, but the youths in the area who had no idea that he was an actor, gathered to beat him up thinking he was an actual thief.
In a video he shared, some actors were beating him and a woman was shouting as part of the script, but as they were shooting, youths swarmed them and attempted to drag Jigan away.
They started pleading and directing them to the camera, explaining that it was a comedy skit.
Following the incident, the comic actor said there is a need to move around with security personnel for safety purposes.
He shared the video and wrote; ”Nigerians are always too quick to take laws into their hands 
even after showing them cameras 
we need to always move around with security for our safety ! Na God saved us ! 
”
