A 28-year-old man named Abacha Wezume met with a tragic car accident that claimed his life only four days after joyfully announcing his admission to the University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT.
The heartbreaking incident took place on Friday, October 27, 2023, in Rivers State, leaving his loved ones in a state of grief and disbelief.
Abacha Wezume, a native of Aluu in the Ikwerre Local Government area of Rivers State, had taken to his Facebook account on Monday, October 23, to share the exciting news of his academic achievement.
He proudly celebrated his acceptance into UNIPORT, a dream he had pursued passionately for many years.
“Congratulations to me. Thank you, Unique UNIPORT. I’ve just been offered admission,” he shared on his Facebook page.
Unfortunately, Abacha Wezume’s elation over his academic success was tragically short-lived.
Just hours before the fatal accident, he updated his Facebook status, expressing a feeling of invincibility.
“I’m invulnerable. I will live to honor His holy name,” he expressed.
The news of his unexpected passing has deeply shaken his friends and family, who have been profoundly affected by this tragic loss.
