Future musicians are advised not to sign with the Starboy, 30BG, or Spaceship record labels by talent manager Prince Theophiluz.
These record labels, which are owned by Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, have gained money and are at the height of their careers, said the talent manager.
He acknowledged that the young artists these musicians signed to their record labels do not have the time to be nurtured. He used the artist Davido as an example, who vanished after the release of his Timeless album.
He continued, “It will be difficult for these upcoming artists to make it in their careers because signing under these three record labels, Starboy, 30BG, or Spaceship, is like getting signed under a greater talent.”
He emphasised that up-and-coming musicians should never consider joining with a label that does not have the time to develop their abilities.
