A MARRIED teaching assistant has been accused of becoming sexually involved with a male student, even performing a sex act while on a school trip.
Jill Meldrun-Jones, 36, faced court yesterday, standing accused of carrying out a string of sex offences involving the male student over a three-month period.
Prosecutor John Cardiff told the court that Meldrum-Jones, had perpetrated a “clear breach of trust”.
Meldrum-Jones, who has children of her own, now faces five counts of touching a teenage boy, two counts of causing or inciting the boy to engage in sexual activity, and grooming a boy under the age of 16 by text or messaging with the intention of meeting to engage in sexual activity.
She appeared at the Warwickshire Justice Centre in Leamington Spa yesterday, only speaking once in the 10 minutes to confirm she did not wish to enter a plea.
Meldrum-Jones is also accused of sexually assaulting a second boy by touching him on a separate occasion, the Mail Online reported.
