The incident occurred at Oluwabamigbe Street, Newtown area in Ondo town when the three who work at the Rate Department in the council went to collect shop rent from the septuagenarian.
The suspects, Atinuke Oyesanmi, Adeyosoye Folasade and Olasupo Abodede had a verbal confrontation with the deceased and in the process one of them pushed her and she became unconscious.
Eyewitnesses said efforts made by passersby and neighbours to revive her proved abortive as she died on the way to the hospital.
