Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, has shut down viral reports alleging he was arrested in London after a supposed altercation with his newly wedded wife, Natasha Osawaru.
The rumour, which first surfaced from controversial blogger Tosin Silverdam, claimed that 2Baba’s no-show at his scheduled UK tour on October 2, 2025, caused fans to leave the venue and fueled speculation that he had been detained over a domestic dispute.
However, in a video shared online, 2Baba appeared alongside Natasha and some close friends to dismiss the allegations, clarifying that his absence was due to a medical emergency, not any marital clash.
One of his friends was even heard joking, saying, “Oh boy, dem don alleged you. Allegedly, dem say you wey dey here, allegedly, dem don alleged you.”
Speaking directly to his fans, 2Baba expressed gratitude and gave a heartfelt explanation:
“First of all, I want to say everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organizers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen. And please, if una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This allegedly, I don tire.”
His clarification has now put the rumours to rest, with fans relieved to see the singer looking healthy and cheerful beside his wife.
