The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon’s coach Volker Finke has released his preliminary 28-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil starting on 12 June.
Cameroon is in Group A with hosts Brazil, Croatia and Mexico. They are competing in their seventh World Cup finals and they are in the group where they are seen as the underdog.
The team has just two home-based players – goalkeeper Loic Feudjou and defender Cedric Djeugoue – with the remainder in European and Turkish clubs.
The team is expected to be trimmed down to the 23-man squad before June 2 the deadline.
