Raheem Okoya, the musician son of billionaire industrialist Razaq Okoya popularly known as Siraheem has sparked a conversation online following the unveiling of his new upscale bowling center in Lagos.
The Price Tag
Details of the facility emerged after fashion entrepreneur Chioma Goodhair visited the center. In a video capturing their interaction, Siraheem revealed that annual membership costs $5,000 (approximately N7.5 million). He described the fee as “cheap” for what is intended to be a family-friendly fun spot, with the official opening scheduled for Sunday.
“Basically for Wealthy People”
When asked if the center accommodates those with modest budgets, the singer was blunt. He clarified that the establishment is targeted specifically at the wealthy, stating that those who cannot afford the membership fee should not bother visiting.
Netizens React
The pricing strategy has drawn mixed reactions. Some critics argued that such fees are exorbitant even by international standards for what is typically a casual game. Others predicted the business might struggle due to exclusion. However, supporters noted that the high cost serves a purpose, positioning the center as a networking hub for the elite rather than just a gaming arcade.
This isn’t the first time Siraheem has made headlines for his pricing; he previously stated that he charges N3 million for performances, warning clients not to book him if they lack the funds.
