Nigerian street-pop star Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has declined a ₦100 million offer to physically confront controversial social media critic Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM) — insisting he would only agree to the fight if paid ₦1 billion.
Their ongoing feud escalated after Portable called out VDM for consistently criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s administration. The clash has since evolved into a public war of words, with both figures trading diss tracks and insults across social media.
In a recent Instagram video, Portable mocked the ₦100 million proposal, saying it was too insignificant considering the money he already receives from fans.
“₦100 million is nothing. My fans give me that. If they want me to fight VDM, they should bring ₦1 billion — I’ll fight and beat him,” he said.
He added:
“You’re scared of him. You can’t even arrest him. And now you want me to be the one to fight him?”
The drama continues to stir reactions across the Nigerian entertainment space.
